Pictures

DottyTakingPicsI love to take pictures. I think it may be hereditary.
My mom and I always have our phones and cameras out to capture every expression of life possible.

Capturing the moments in time that I will never see again has always fascinated and captivated me.

So, I find myself whipping out my IPhone to click pics all the time.

DottyNoPhoneSpaceI realized I had a problem when I had close to three thousand photos and when I tried to capture the perfect picture, there was no more available space.

I was finding myself going through perhaps the pics that weren’t the best shot of a few taken to delete, giving myself a little more room to take at least a few more pictures.

This cycle seemed to go on for months.

I know! Crazy, right? Most would and did say, “Why don’t you just dump them on your computer and erase from your phone?”DottyLoveIphone

That sounds like a very logical thing to do unless you are like me and become attached to your pictures and the comfort of having them close.

But, since I have been doing my physical body cleanse I decided it was time to also clear other areas of my life.  So, my pictures were at the top of the list.

I had to get someone to help me because it was too scary and felt weird to wipe my pictures clean.

Once my phone was returned with an empty photo gallery, I felt a hollow place in my gut.

However, it began to help me feel a sense of liberation and calm knowing they were being placed in the proper places and how it had opened up a huge opportunity for me to capture new moments without worrying whether or not I had enough space.

I began thinking about how this whole bizarre picture ordeal parallels my approach to many areas of my life.

DottyClutterHolding on to the past baggage both “good” and “bad” can clutter up our lives, locking us out from being able to take more “pictures” of the moment we are in and causing us to lose the precious opportunity for new blessings.

Letting go of old habits, anger, resentment or even the “good stuff” without finding the proper place for it in your life, may be causing you to miss that “perfect shot”.

WHAT PICTURES ARE YOU HOLDING ON TO THAT ARE KEEPING YOU FROM CAPTURING THOSE SPECIAL MOMENTS THAT ARE BEING BROUGHT TO YOUR LIFE??

WHERE CAN YOU PLACE THE PHOTOS OF YOUR LIFE TO OPEN THE SPACE TO ENJOY MORE AMAZING  EXPERIENCES??

INSPIRATION:
**You can be free and whole without holding onto your past.

**Clear the “photos of your life and put things in their proper “album” so you can make room for the blessings waiting for you!

Say Cheese! 😉
